Put puppy pads down in that spot?
is it on hard floor or carpet?
That’s what we used for Lola
(I presume hard floor?)

We've put newspaper down somewhere else and she's getting good going there. But when she sniffs the other place, where really we don't want her to get used to going, she squirts.

Hard floor
Personally, I still think puppy pads (or newspaper) would be fine until she's properly trained, which she will be soon I'm sure.

(Promise I won't mention puppy pads again.)
Dogs hate teatree give a little sprinkle of that
Do you want her to pee indoors at all? Is there a garden? I would suggest doing no error housetraining. Its hard work for a short time but works.
Housetraining is fast and easy if you do the no error method. Basically you take pup outside on waking, before and after eating if he/she wakes at night (keep him with you in box or crate) during exciting play and by default at about half hourly intervals while he/she is awake. If he/she has an accident indoors you wont get excited or angry it is because it is your fault not his. watch pup and you will earn what he/she does immediately before he/she goes (sniff the floor, walk in a circle, crouch and shuffle, go to a corner and so on) if you see that behaviour, cheerfully take him/her outside, carry at first then call him/her to go with you. If you carry, folding the tail in over his/her bum can help to "cork" him/her so you don't get peed on.
when you take pup outside, stay with him/her till he/she goes then praise lavishly and give a yummy treat. While he/she is out there, don't interact with him/her until he/she has gone, just stand calmly and wait. Once he/she is starting to get the hang of it, you can add in a trigger word so that he/she will at least pee on request, its useful when taking him/her in the car or going out and leaving him/her when he/she is much older.
He/she will quickly get the hang of this and start to go to the door when he/she needs to wee/poo. Praise and encourage this but save the jackpot praise and treats for after he/she has been. Still take out very regularly as he/she won't be able to wait for long and still stay with him/her till he/she goes.
I do no error because I hate cleaning up mess. if you do get messes in the house, clean up thoroughly with a specialist product( I use zybax from advance but you can get others) to get rid of the smell as the smell will make him/her think its where he should go. Personally I think pads or paper are a waste of money and confusing to pup as you are telling him/her its okay to go indoors then you have to tell him/her it isn't.
forgot to add that the reason that I use Zybax is that its totally non toxic so if pup licks it, it is safe
I only used the puppy pads till she was 10 weeks old and I was able to take her out safely in the garden , she’s been clean ever since

Thanks for all your advise. I will pass it on to my son.
Definitely puppy pads. For cleaning, any of the Simple Solution products...all available on Amazon. They were recommended on here.
Unfortunately Sammi still does wees...when he's peed off with me for keeping him out of the lounge when I'm eating.
