Just to let those of you who may be interested to know, I emailed Shirley Bakers daughter yesterday and received a reply today. I will copy and paste part of her email in case any of you may be interested.
It doesn't always work when I copy and paste but it says she can order an A3 coloured print for £300. Unfortunately this is more than I wanted to pay. I have found a website where you can upload a picture and can order a poster for less than £20 and I might do that. The only problem is I don't understand the wording where it gives the sizes of the poster, it says the size you can choose but then it says 'Flat (no inside) ' I don't know what that means.Any ideas? I will post this now and hope the copy and paste works.

Thank you for your email. It’s lovely to hear your life story and how the photographs bring back such fond memories. I am happy to make you a new colour print of the girl swinging from the lamppost. Size can be roughly A3 size and the price £300.
If you would like one please advise your postal address and I will instruct the printer this week and email an invoice

Many thanks
Nan

Yes they are breaking the law, and yes they do it all the time. It is a crime that is unpoliceable. It is not entirely victimless - artists and photographers deserve to be rewarded for their hard work.
I'd go ahead and get it printed on the black market. £300 is taking the ***. Your biggest mistake was asking for advice on this site, everyone here seems to be of high standard, morality and virtue.
That's good of you to say Luca.
Luca, if the item is copyrighted doing that is legally wrong. Just because the image itself isn't tangible doesn't make it any less of someone else's property.

Just to update you all. I cannot afford £300 for a print and I do not wish to break any copyright laws. I have sent for the book and I am looking forward to not only owning that particular picture, but all the pictures in the book. I appreciate all your comments. Thanks.
