Mine is being told a story by my great uncle Silas of how Hugo McSlattery robbed a post office in the coastal town of Ballybunion (do visit wonderful spot) wearing an orange B&Q bucket on his head and armed with a potato gun

ROFLMFAO It never gets old does it.
One night I got terribly drunk. I woke up on Answerbank with no memory of how I got here.

My entire memory up to that moment has been totally erased and now I consider myself a child of AB.
That's quite a coincidence, I was found by a wandering hobo on Ballybunion beach in a B&Q orange bucket.
I'm new too... but my bucket is black.
Black buckets matter too.
My earliest memory today was waking up to see someone had placed an orange bucket on the table outside. It was upside-down. Hmmm.
I know, mamya, BBM x :-)
The B&Q orange buckets are too brittle for my liking.
I went surfing at Ballybunnion beach once, those Orange buckets make great paddles.
Orange buckets are a status symbol in our town. I have 2 .
No doubt your proudest acquisition, AA.
Playing billiards with my dad, standing on a stool to reach the table.I was five or six years old.
I wonder if Hugo McSlattery was trying to emulate Ned Kelly? I suppose we’ll never know.
Running with a bone china cup one minute, the next i was on the floor with blood gushing from my top lip. I might add that i was 2 at the time and i tripped over an upturned carpet.I have the scar as a reminder.
Standing up holding the bars of my cot, I must have been about 18 months at the time
As a small child always loving and caring about animals. I remember a friend's dog got a cut paw while we were out playing and I picked him up and carried him all the way home with his blood dripping down my favourite skirt. I was about six and my Mummy was very proud of me!
My earliest memory is of my not so great uncle Wally, a DCI, telling me how he once attempted to catch a famous criminal, Hugo McSlattery, who was wanted for holding up the nation's post offices, armed with a potato gun and disguised as an orange B&Q bucket. Acting on an off-tip (you'll see why) from a local 'grass' (Slippery Sid), DCI uncle Wally, staked out a post office in the town, disguised as a lamp post. So good was his disguise, that several of the local strays relieved themselves on his legs. Yet he never moved an inch in the 8 hours he stood there. Unfortunately for him, Slippery Sid had 'mis-spoke' and while my uncle was staking out the post office in Burnley, McSlattery was robbing the post office in Barnsley, o'er the Red Rose/White Rose border. Poor Uncle never lived it down and retired from the force, later getting a job as a permanent sign post. Much to the delight of the town's stray dogs, and quite a few drunks.
