But why did they do it? Publicity stunt? It would have survived Better in a garage.

In 1957 the City of Tulsa Oklahoma celebrsted their 50th anniversary of Statehood.
I know Zacs, what a beautiful car when it went in.

I thought it fascinating Zacs, a competition to win the car if you could guess what the population of Tulsa would be in 2007! It seemed to create a lot of excitement, 50 years , a long time to wait.
