What do I get her? There are lots of things like jewellery, but she had that. Looked at life story books, But I won’t have Time now. We can’t travel to see her and join in the celebrations as she lives far away, I am at a loss.

When my daughter was 40 I picked out photos of her from being a baby , through school, and more recent.I put them on a memory stick and had them printed all the same size 4x6 and then bought a lovely album to put them in. I think that is a nice personal gift to go with a bottle of champagne , chocs etc.My daughter loved it.

Does she have interests/hobbies?
How about an Experience Day that she can do after lockdown. There are so many different types that you will probably find something to interest her.
tigger the hamper looks a good idea, plenty there to choose from.
If in doubt, I always opt for a hamper, Barsel :o)
Depends what you want to pay. Does she drink champagne?

Thank you for the suggestions. She always gets us a hamper for Christmas, so I discounted that. We have 5 bottles of champagne in the fridge that we were hoping to take over with us, but now it looks like we can’t go as we live over 4 hours away. She has a lovely dog, and a friend has painted his portrait as a little present. Sending it will be tricky, but I may buy a box to send it. Trawling through the net, I have found a book you can buy and put things in it like old photos and memory things. I still have her clinic weigh in cards from a baby and her 21st invites etc. Would that be a nice thing to do?
