Why Does It Always Go Pear Shaped
19 Answers
When you organise a party for a special occasion and invite friends round to social distance in your garden 6 at a time.
The first 6 have left now and they were lovely but now the next 6 have arrived and I cant wait for them to leave and the next 6 to come

It could go even further pear-shaped though when one of your neighbours spots your gathering and remembers that the limit of 6 people applies to the entire group size (including yourself) and reports you to the local plod for having one too many people in your garden.
The blue lights are already flashing, Bob!

//When asked if it was acceptable to do this a journalist was told no, it should be a total of six in one day.//
I wonder who told the journalist that. Whoever it was they were wrong. You can change your five fellow guests as often as you like. So long as no more than six people are "gathered" together at any one time then it's within the law.
