{ Woofgang} The bible is not just another book which is where the confusion lies.
{ LOCUSTS }Many people are told that we can’t be sure who wrote the Bible. But the Bible is often clear about who penned its contents. Some parts begin with such phrases as “the words of Nehemiah,” “the vision of Isaiah,” and “the word of GOD that occurred to Joel.”
—Nehemiah 1:1; Isaiah 1:1; Joel 1:1. Most Bible writers acknowledged that they wrote in the name of GOD The Bible was written by some 40 men over the course of 1,600 years the Bible is a miniature library of 66 books.
Sometimes the Bible writers wrote about the same event from different viewpoints, or they presented their accounts in different ways. When these differences are taken into consideration, further apparent contradictions are easy to resolve. An example of this is in Numbers 35:14, where Moses speaks of the territory east of the Jordan as “on this side of the Jordan.” Joshua, however, speaking of land to the east of the Jordan, called it “the other side of the Jordan.” (Joshua 22:4) Which is correct?

LOCUSTS Is It Really Inspired by God?
NO MAN can accurately foretell the future in detail. That is beyond human ability. However, the Creator of the universe possesses all the necessary facts and can even control events. Thus he can be spoken of as the One who is “telling from the beginning the finale, and from long ago the things that have not been done.” —Isaiah 46:10; 41:22, 23.
The Bible contains hundreds of prophecies. Have they been accurately fulfilled until now? If so, it would be a telling indication of the Bible’s being “inspired of God.” (2 Timothy 3:16, 17) And it would create confidence in further prophecies regarding events yet to come. Hence, it will be useful to review some prophecies already fulfilled.
The Destruction of Jerusalem
True to the prophecy, Roman armies under Cestius Gallus came against Jerusalem in 66 C.E. Strangely, however, he did not press the siege to its completion, but, as the first-century historian Flavius Josephus reported: “He retired from the city, without any reason in the world.” With the siege unexpectedly lifted, opportunity was afforded to heed Jesus’ instruction to flee Jerusalem. The historian Eusebius reported that it was the Christians who fled
Less than four years later, in 70C.E., Roman armies under General Titus returned and encircled Jerusalem. They cut down trees for miles around and built a city-encircling wall, “a fortification with pointed stakes.” As a result, Josephus observed: “All hope of escaping was now cut off from the Jews. Josephus noted that after a siege of about five months, aside from three towers and a portion of a wall, what was left “was so thoroughly laid even with the ground that there was left nothing to make those that came thither believe it had ever been inhabited.

I read it objectively. I read what’s there. You seek endorsement for your opinions. Therefore you see what you want to see.
serious comment please
and has anyone researched what 2 Tim 16-17 says? nope I thought not there are indeed some very poorly researched answers

2Tim. 3 Verses 16 to 17. [16] All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: [17] That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

The problem for me is that - this is one persons opinion
I mean it could be TTT, DOug or Naomi

ONe thing - when was this written and do Scriptures include the four Gospels and or Pauline Letters?

so far 1 tim 16 is a biblical version of 'I know I am right'
is it faith alone ( er justification by faith) that will validate it in the readers mind?
///TTT, DOug or Naomi //

None of the above.
indeed PP and another person who had a view said "Let your women keep silence in church" and we all know what we think of that!
