I bought a treadmill over amazon - I was given a delivery date and amazon sent an email to say it had been dispatched. I then received an email from the company selling it to say it would be delayed and given a new dispatch date. After that Date went I sent an email to the company Which they replied by saying dispatch had been delayed again but was now with the courier and I should wait to hear from them. As yet nothing has been received! Should I contact Amazon for further clarification or perhaps a refund

You should have only contacted the seller via Amazon stating there was a problem with the order in the first place. Go to your order in your Amazon account and go through the 'Problem with Order' process.
If the item is indeed with the courier then I doubt that you would get a refund.You could ask Amazon who the courier is and check with them.
When did you get the last email?
You will certainly get a refund if it isn't delivered. How did you pay for it? When did you place the order?
It's not your job to check with the courier, you don't have a contract with them and they won't discuss it with you. As SlackAlice says, only communicate with the seller and only do that through Amazon

I went to the ‘track parcel’ option - it states ‘on the way but running late’ and has also given a delivery date of 28 May.
My first email from amazon on 15 may saying dispatch had taken place was followed same day from the company saying despatch would be delayed until 26 May and delivery would take place a few days after. I emailed the company on 28 may to ask for confirmation it had been dispatched -yesterday I received this from them -

Hello,

thank you for your response and sorry for inconveniences.
I already hurried our dispatch department and asked to ship it as soon as possible.
As soon as it will be dispatched I will forward a tracking link to you.

If you aren't prepared to wait, cancel it. Who is the seller? From the wording of your email I get the impression they are not in the UK

The seller is Innovamaxx Uk
Although it says "UK"...the company looks to be German with a Berlin address...
It is a German company.I once bought something from them and like you i experienced a delay in delivery.
'UK' in a business name often means very little. Indeed, with online trading platforms, such as eBay and Amazon, it's often added onto a business name to make it look as if the firm is based in this country, even though it's actually in, say, China.

There's no need to dig very deep to find out where InnovaMaxx UK is based though, as Amazon's website shows that they're actually in Germany:

Go through Amazon to demand a refund!
....and even a current 46% negative feedback on Amazon's own site.
A little research before buying would have warned you off, I think.

Okay - well I think I might need to get a refund
As I ordered through Amazon will I need to go through them and, if so, how?
Was it free delivery if not claim for it also .Ps I’ve got wan asale very reasonable 180,quid postage 83 .Well never miss an opportunity I always says .
