erm uh - I think you read the Khan article and answer it from that.

the white settlers got a bad deal from the mexicans
[and the whites were looked on a bit like the FLoyd protestors today - just pains in the elbow] - and the social agencies were not exactly as you and I would wish

You know you can visit the site of the Texan Embassy in London 1843-5 ? - New Bond St Tube and walk to Savile Row

at the time - when the texicans were grabbing quite a large part of the Mehican empire ( 1845-50) - Vallejo suggested the disputed territory apply to join the British Empire !
Yeah thought that would wipe you out
And The Alamo - remember that? current minority view is that they wer ebetrayed from the inside and lined up against the wall and shot
