Just out of curiosity I’ve made us each a no sew face mask from a pair of socks. All I can say is Hannibal Lechter eat your heart out!!!
Anyone else had a go at making a no sew one from an online tutorial? Any success?

Not had the need to as yet, not going anywhere but I do have a few on order and out for delivery.

I’ve just done the same with an old sock. I agree with your comment about Hannibal Lecter so I’m not sure I’ll wear it in public.
Ha! That gave me a good laugh tigger.
;o)
I've got a feeling that, even after several washes, my old socks would still represent far more of a health risk than Covid-19 ever could ;-)
I made a hash of eight prototypes.

But I was very successful making a full visor from a sheet of plastic sheet. It is very durable.

But TBH we haven’t used them. They might become museum pieces yet.
Well at least all my odd socks can be put to some use!!
I did see one on Youtube yesterday where the woman used a pair of boxer shorts. Face mask and hair cover all in one :-)
I've got a pile of old socks destined for the bin. Maybe I should turn them into cash.
But...do they work?
Well, we are being told not to purchase the medical ones and thereby reduce stocks of those for essential workers, so any port in a storm I suppose.

People are being very resourceful in what they’re using to make no sew masks, the Internet is full of them isn’t it?
Whilst I was prepared to sacrifice a pair of socks, neither of us fancied chopping up a t shirt..yet!
I’ve just pinged a photo of me wearing it, to our family group. At least it’s given them all a good laugh :o)
