I have a teddy called Archie that my granddaughter made for me at school. He sits on my bed during the day and I've found myself turning him so that he can look out of the window all day. Help!

After a few house moves over the last few years, our Teds are still in hibernation :-(
i have a knitted green frog that sits on the biscuit barrel
he is lovable and i won't ever throw him out. I sometimes talk to him, madness i know...
First sign of madness. Looking for hairs on the palm of your hand. The second sign, finding them!
This made me laugh, I'm glad I'm not alone. I've got a teddy, my grandsons call him Big Bear, who sits in the armchair and watches tv all day, even when it isn't switched on. If he's been moved and can't see the screen I move him back :)
I have a collection of bears, got over the years. I love them, one of the them is very cuddly when I feel a little low. he sits in an armchair watching the tv as well.
maggiebee , I can't see any indication of madness on your part

Now , if you'd said , he asked to you to draw the curtains , because he couldn't see outside ,then that would be a different matter

Oh dear, plans scuppered for today! Archie and I planned a day in the garden today. We had a long talk about it last night and agreed to take out the comfy chairs and parasol for some shade. Alas, it's now hissing down so plans put on hold. Plus side is I'll have time to make a banana loaf to share with him when we do get out.
banana cake? are you sure, wouldn't he prefer a honey syrup cake?
Question Author
Beggars can't be choosers, no honey or syrup so he'll just have to make do with banana loaf meantime. Once I get to the shops maybe!
i'm sure he'll understand ...
Will he go to the shops with you?
No. It seems totally reasonable to me. One of my friends who died suddenly 3 years ago, at 34, had given my daughter a reindeer for Christmas when she was 2 months old. My granddaughter now sleeps with it every night, and I would be really upset now if anything happened to it. Look after him :-) xx
