I have a trap based on gravity it is like a see-saw the mouse enters the tunnel and walks to the opposite end where the bait is - the weight of the mouse in that end of the trap makes that end drop to the ground due to gravity this triggers/shuts the door.

I am concerned that the trap may close too slowing but I am finding it hard to find the right food to attact the mouse, I have tried chocolate, biscuit, fruit plus the bait which came with the trap and it looks untouched. I have also put the trap against the walls hidden behind boxes in areas where the mouse roams all with no luck. Any ideas??l

If you can find where the mouse is living then placing it by the entrance usually works. Look along the skirting boards for a greasy mark where the mouse runs along and see if you can spot an entrance to a nest, you can usually smell the nest. The entrance can be tiny as mice can squeeze themselves into an awfully small space. Good luck.
With all those goodies inside I reckon your mouse is not there anymore. I use the same thing with digestive biscuit inside. Works every time. In fact once I had two mice in.
Try a simple dab of peanut butter. The odor attracts from quite a distance and the mouse has difficulty removing it so it tends to trip the trap more redaily, in our experience...
I saw a cartoon once and i seem to remember the mouse liked cheese, perhaps this is worth a shot?
i know it sounds silly but chocolate works!
I'm with Clanad on this one.....had a bit of a mouse problem myself & someone suggested using peanut butter....2 days later no more mouse!!!
sorry to be boring but yeah chocolate does work.....maybe your mouse has moved out!
Another vote here for peanut butter...we must have a very similar humane mouse trap to you, and peanut butter has always done the trick in the past!
have u tried cat.
