I'm not sure I'm finding it any clearer. I'll continue as I have been. Only out for exercise. I wonder if those for whom the lockdown is easing will still consider the needs of the elderly.

That's just it Pasta. No difference for 70+ year olds who don't need to shield, except we can go out just to relax, we don't need to be exercising. Same as everybody else under 70. But we should take extra care distancing.

there have never been specific rules for healthy over 70's. There has been advice.

True Woofie. And the best advice is common sense. I have a lot of health issues and feel safer at home and the area around home, regardless of whether I have a letter telling me I'm vulnerable or not.

I'm still walking 10km each day. Happily, I haven't seen anyone on any of my walks so am feeling fairly safe.
I've always thought the drink would get me.
If I'm careful now it might yet pan out that way.

Mr Apc walks several miles a day direct from our house through field and woods. Unfortunately, because my walking is now very limited I remain at home. If he walks on the country lanes around us I join him on my mobility scooter. We rarely see anybody except the odd cyclist.

a lot of the over 70s realise that infection for them is one way traffic
they will get infected FROM someone and
NOT they will give it to someone ( the infection or anything else that is!)[*} - and maintain their cotton wool covering

[*] let alone infect and kill that stupid cow over the road who is always complaining about got knows what and give us some peace
