Been Feeling Terrible

For a good couple of weeks I've had quite pronounced fatigue, aching muscles headaches and sore eyes and abdominal bloating.

Tonight I looked in the mirror and there's a red, angry bumpy rash across my left forehead.

I'm thinking shingles, which I last had at the age of 9.

Thoughts?

It's certainly a possibility, can you get a photo to your GP?

I'll probably get one of the Consultants at work to take a look.
Oh dear, sounds like it..
Ring doctor soon.
Good idea.
Question Author
I've got a burning sensation on my face too.
The sooner you get the ant virus tablets, the better.
Question Author
Well, I asked my Dr colleague's opinion. She said the distribution of the rash isn't compatible with shingle but given my other symptoms I should get tested for Covid and isolate in the meantime.

Occy Health will ring me in the morning with an appointment time.

Thankfully my uncle is on the mend and has been weaned off sedation. Another week or so on ITU and then he'll be transferred to Medical High.
Sorry youre not well & hope you recover soon -I cant help medically but hope lovely Miles is ok

Miles is all good, except that he's getting a bit frustrated. I think he wants to go down the park x
Lcg, I hope it isn’t too late to have the antiviral tablets they give you that tries to halt shingles but if the rash has appeared then that may be the case, I feel for you, it’s the most dreadful pain ever, I hope it isn’t shingles for your sake
Sorry to say but all those symptoms , except the bloating, I had with covid-19. If you have no fever then you may not have the virus. The rash initially put the doctors off diagnosing CV-19 but I tested positive.
bloating may be a symptom, it seems

(I'm certainly not saying that's what you have, I'm not a doctor)

The aching limbs is the worst. I can barely walk to the car from the front door without feeling like I've run a marathon.
could it be lyms disease?
Question Author
I would have thought so. The rash isn't circular.

The most likely culprit is Covid I'm afraid, and working in a hospital places me at greater risk of exposure.
Ah I didnt know I hope you get well soon. If they ask to put you on a respirator would you say yes or no?
I have had shingles on abdomen. It was watery blisters. Painful & itchy, only treatment was calamine lotion painted over area and ibuprofen pills.
Question Author
Yes, of course. I would do anything to stop my 2-year-old son becoming motherless.

I had the respiratory symptoms before the rash. The aching limbs and fatigue have been the worst things for me.
