I've just been outside for a while and saw four swifts up in the clear blue sky. Uplifting and delightful

How lovely, I love that screeching. Do you live in a big town Tilly? I never get swifts where I am, too rural, and only ever hear them in big towns.

Prudie, I live on the edge of a 200 acre country park but in the suburbs of a town. Both town and country here. There has been a sharp decline in swift and swallow numbers over the years. It's lovely to see any.
