Can someone clarify...
Are jury trials still taking place?

If so, how? (being that there is a 2 metre distance rule in place)
Are jurys been requested to sit 2 meters apart?

Are Crown Court Trials still happening?
Thanks.

Now here's a coincidence - I received a summons for jury service a few weeks ago and was due to start next Monday ...... today I just received a notification that I do not need to attend.
In the letter there was no formal explanation why; but obviously this is due to Covid.
Non urgent stuff suspended, hard core in courts where the jury can be distanced or separated by temporary screens I would guess
All jury trials in the uk have been suspended

Thanks for replies.
Very helpful.
An old joke, Nailit: do you really want your fate decided by a bunch of people who don't know how to get off jury duty?

Would have preffered that my last (and ONLY) case of facing a jury consisted of experts in their fields rather than Joe Public, who believed whatever the establishment told them!

That aside, was just wondering how the courts were still operating
during the present climate?
I suppose they are used to televising etc already to protect witnesses so it's maybe just an adjustment of distancing for jurors. The virus will be here a while so they would have to adapt sooner or later.
Nailit, I've just received a letter today calling me for jury service and have just posted about it . Will be interesting to see the replies here
