My only wish at the moment is that a big family meal in a lovely restaurant to celebrate my son's graduation will still go ahead. It's booked for mid July, so I'm very doubtful. Hopefully, I'll be able to do it here instead.

Sparkly Yes, I've walked dogs around the grounds of Bolton Abbey lots of times, just lovely. I know all those places you mention. I lived in Pateley Bridge for eight years and would love to go back but since it got 2nd place in a Best Places to Live in Britain list the prices have shot up.
Aunt Polly I nearly fell off my chair when I saw your spelling of Teesdale LOL. I thought nobody can come from there and spell it like that. I was pleased to see your post straight after;-). No I haven't seen High Force but I'd like to it looks magnificent. I have been up that way once. It was to a farm to see a very special bird that had not been seen in this country for many years. Can't remember its name. It was nesting in a quarry and when I got there the farmer told me it left about an hour before I arrived! Par for the course.

Nowhere. It's a beautiful area where we live and I love it here overlooking woods and fields and with a very large garden. We chose to put down roots in North Norfolk 40 years ago and it was the best thing we ever did
I'm quite content now but missing our frequent trips to the coast ten miles away and missing meals out and catching up with friend
s. We've.
had loads of holidays to far away places and now don't want the hassle of travelling.
