I must say, if you wanted a toasting fork I don't know why you wouldn't just get a toasting fork. An extremely simple design, after all. No need for one with a baby seat attached.

No earlier than the 15th/16th century .. a meat holding, roasting rack, that sat in front of an open earth fire. The tail was for temperature control !
