I have just been to liddl for a quick shop while it is quiet,i cant get a tesco delivery spot,
anyway at the checkout i said to the young checkout lad, thanks for doing your bit for us in these terrible times,he got quite emotional, seems like they dont get many words of praise for their efforts, doesnt take much to say a quick thank you.

I always thank the checkout staff, and other workers in the shop. I just make a special effort to do so now.
I actually bought a lovely bunch of tulips to hand to the checkout girl who served me today, she seemed suitably underwhelmed!!
I've always thanked checkout staff too - and anyone else who serves me in a shop.
I gave a great big thank you to my Tesco delivery man earlier, he was impressed I had left crates and a large laundry basket outside the door to decant the shopping into and he was spot on time.
