Just finished watching this film from 2011,can't believe the parallels with what is happening today. I wondered if any MP's watched this and implemented a lot of the measures.

Not a total parallel, thank goodness, as I believe that in Contagion the virus was not only extremely good at spreading but also much more fatal. Thankfully, in practice viruses are usually more interested in spreading than in killing their hosts.
