depends on the time of year, I think; more people die in winter.
Try searching here

looks like about 1700 a day.
I wondered about that too. So the covid deaths are extra to the 1700?
No- you'd need to do some Venn Diagrams but some of the deaths put down as Covid would have happened anyway, but maybe not quite as quickly. The other factor is the covid figures are just those in deaths hospitals- you need to add in all the care home deaths to get the true Covid figure. I assume the 1700 a day for historical deaths was all deaths.
And of course other deaths may have gone down because of fewer RTAs as traffic has plummeted, but maybe we'll find suicides will increase.
Good luck if you are going to try to analyse all this
According to the CIA World Factbook it is 9.5/1000 population (estimated for 2020)

Have a look at:

https://www.cia.gov/library/publications/the-world-factbook/

and you can find an amazing amount of information on just about every country in the world.
That's roughly 1% of us die every year (seems a bit low but I suppose it reflects the birth rate and immigration of younger people exceeding UK deaths) so that equates to around 1750 a day which is in line with jno's figure
Incidentally, the birth rate is 11.9/1000.
Overall, despite the awful effects of Covid, I'm not sure the overall deaths figure will have increased by as much as the number of Covid deaths. The number of deaths from flu for example (typically up to 100 a day in winter) should be lower due to social distancing, and some deaths from other issues will either now be put down as part -Covid, and of course some deaths will happen earlier because of Covid leaving fewer to die later of other reasons.
But however we look at it, Covid is killing off around 800 a day at present in hospitals (plus more in carehomes or at home) and we haven't reached the peak yet.
Apparently, pneumonia death rates have fallen off a cliff. Presumably been put down to covid.
