My brother had a job at MacFisheries, although it may have been after they became MacMarket.

We had a Mac Fisheries, it was a lovely shop with tiled walls. That was a long time ago, maybe the seventies.

There is a large shop in our local village that has sold many things and changed hands since I came here in 1980. The entrance to the front door still maintains the tiled MacFisheries logo on the floor.

I thought the name was familiar and read the article. Noticed footnote to Premier Supermarkets. Patrick Galvani was my uncle and my grandfather was a descendent of George Barham who founded Express Dairy. Blast from the past

Certainly MacFisheries existed in the 60s/70s, we used the Keighley branch. The Leverhulme family was very prominent in the North West.

Hi all, sorry i tried to answer another question about International Stores on here and it went a bit wrong. My father used to run the international stores in Hounslow West - definitely not meant to be spam or phishing. My apologies!
