does anyone know where I can buy maple sugar, cream and butter from a uk mail order company? I know I can get it straight from Canada and the US but the p and p and customs make this very expensive.

Bits of sun ,bits of sleet and blowing a gale all night although it seems to have eased off now.
Iceland brought my stuff.Very good and at least I now have some spuds, bananas and eggs amongst other bits and pieces.I was beginning to get banana withdrawal syndrome.
Hope you're all safe and well.
Eggs? .....(pumps up tyres on medieval bike)....I'm on my way.
None around here shaney, maybe the hens have all gone into hiding for fear of ending up in the stew.

I finally got on the Boots website after days of trying and being told I'd have over an hour to wait in a queue. I normally collect orders from the local shop but they've lowered the amount you need to spend for free home delivery. I got the main things I wanted but so many items are out of stock.

Do people really think that all this new found camaraderie and love thy neighbour stuff etc will continue if and when this ends? Sadly I don't. Human nature.

My sister lives in Leicestershire jno, in a cul-de-sac (or cuddly sac as I call it). You know what they're like, always trying to have something we don't. :)
hm, well, having said that, we've just had 20 seconds of snow ourselves. It would probably have been sleet if the wind hadn't been blowing it around, but snow it was. The sun's beaming down again now.
Yes..eggs! I had a boiled egg earlier.I can't understand why people are stockpiling eggs. They don't keep as long as toilet rolls :)
I'll hard boil a couple and send them by carrier pigeon Robinia
I'd like to think society might change after this is all over but I very much doubt it.The selfish are still being selfish even now.
I very much hope though that people have taken note of those profiting from this crisis and boycott them in future.Yes, Tim Martin, and others of your ilk .I'm talking about you :)
Mr N made his first Yorkshire puddings. I have tonsay they were excellent. Mine are always flat offerings!
We are not shirt of anything on the island. And yes I do have quite a few eggs and we buy hard boiled eggs , talk about being lazy!!
Went out at 8pm and did my clapping. It appears that the neighbours wait for me to clap and then they start! It's not the same as clapping in the dark!!
I am a tad bored!
Morning each...cold again. Nothing exciting weatherwise for the rest of the week either.

I'm having a delivery conveyor belt installed today from the front gate to the door and one of those whizzy overhead things to put the money in. It's ok, no germs on it, it's been laundered.

Keep busy and carry on.

cold here. I don't have down days but I am having a down day.
Oh dear poor woofy.
It is hija's 34th birthday today. Not a lot happening as she's in quarantine in Barcelona and we are here . Having a lazy day. But I did my usual housework and walked around the land a few times for exercise. Mr N is getting on with dolls house and doing the dinner. Just drifting through day by day!
Oh dear woofy. I think we're all going to be up and down like that for the foreseeable future. I didn't start the day feeling optimistic but I cheered up this afternoon.
The weather's been abysmal so I'll be closing the curtains shortly and imagining I'm somewhere warm and fabulous....like a chocolate factory.
Chocolate factory? Only Cadbury for me then as I hate all other chocolate!
Very cold here again.
Everytime I walk into the lounge Mr N has his lists. He is writing down receipts and things to do. He is going to make me a football clacker as clapping hurts my shoulder! After waiting 13 months I was ine day away from seeing the traum specialist and then we went I to lockdown . I can only assume that my mammogram from Feb was ok as havent heard anything!
Hair is looking like the wild man of Borneo! I think I may have to let it grow! Are your hairdressers all closed over there?
Oh and now he is in control of the kitchen, yes most tins all tidy and in line!
haha I have actually got the very same ones.
Yes neti, all closed. The curly perm and blue rinse brigade will be doing impersonations of her Maj and wearing headscarves.
I hope no male shows up here in a few months time with a man bun or a pigtail or I'll be after him with the loppers.
The neighbours had a day out today

aargh, mrs jno jnr has been put on furlough. She'll get the government allowance but will have to twiddle her thumbs and hope the job will exist when the plague has passed.

jno jnr thinks his job is fairly safe as he's a big income earner for his employers. I hope so. Fortunately the Bank of Mum and Dad has spent nothing much for more than two years now on account of staff illness, so we are waiting...
Picky's on furlough but we haven't had a begging letter as yet.
Sorry to hear you're feeling down Woofy .Hope you soon feel better.
The doom and gloom merchants on here don't exactly help matters either.
If Mr N needs any help on tin tidying Neti Mr S is only too pleased to advise. He's branched out into fridge and freezer tidying now and is looking for people to train up.All applications to.....
TidytinsInc@i'mgoingslightlymad.com
Hope you're all safe and well
Sleep tight.
Oh heavens shaney me N and Mr s could be twins. Yes hes started on the freezer too which I admit is in no good order!!
Hija had just started a new job for Guess the fashion company . It was a new job and there were several being trained up on the internet. They have all been laid off. I do worry about her. Dark dank day here so am pleased to be quarantined.
Morning. Sunny and cold but the clouds are gathering.
Could the Messrs Tidytins diversify and do a crash course in Tidy Sheds please? I'm in desperate need of instruction.

Fortunately Tarquin can work from home. (Not easy with the boys I imagine) Apparently at Friday's facetime meeting some of them were wearing fancy dress. One week in and the madness has started :)
Mrs T doesn't have an overload as yet but continues to attend to those with pimples and paper cuts. If things get bad she may be called to go into hospitals :( I really hope it doesn't come to that.
Ah there you have hit the problem Robinia, Mr Ns shed is in total disarray with things just hurled in and yes I also a culprit! Plus it's full of geckos which terrify me!
Mr N made a rustic cottage loaf and it was quite good!

thank you all, feeling better today. Had a phonecall with the vet who talked sense to me about Shughy who has a bad ear, managed to get a grocery delivery booked and bit the bullet and contacted the council about the woman whose garden backs on to mine and whose dogs are left unsupervised in their garden and who come and bark and growl at mine through the fence. Mine get stressed by it and retaliate unless I keep them on leads all the time they are out there which is just not reasonable. I nver thought I'd be that old woman who complains but I just can't deal with it. Additionally I have had problems in the past with a nasty couple who made unfounded complaints about my two and it ended up with the bloke banging on my front door and yelling at me which I reported to the police. I don't want it happening again so felt I had exhausted what I can do.
