I was in Asda the other day and the George and electrical departments were open still.
I am addicted to Pepsi Max and get 48 600ml bottles delivered by Amazon each month. The company who sells it is having problems with getting stock and my supplies are getting very low.

I can't leave the house and my shopping delivery is not for a week or so.

Sandy - now might be the time for you to build a still.
"If the order extends to supermarket drink sections, and it might, what are addicts to do?"

Visit the deli section for cold turkey?

Ahh righto......Christmas week?
There would be riots and worse if people couldn’t get alcohol and that’s just from me - (only joking)
Would they (me) have go to a DIY store and buy meths?
All bars and pubs have been closed for around two weeks in Ontario. Restaurants that offer take-out and delivery may remain open, and now they can offer booze (at quite a price) with the take-out and delivery meals. Fortunately, beer and liquor stores have been classed as an "essential service"!
Sandy
According to Belfast Live the off-licences, which were - not unreasonably at first - included in the list of non-essential outlets, are likely to be allowed to open, one obvious reason being it'll take the heat off the supermarkets - this was the reason they were allowed to open in the rest of the UK
And actually, off licences in NI were never singled out and ordered to close: they were just not on the list of shops allowed to stay open - same as everywhere else.

Or the dairy section for a few "shakes".

I'll not go back until I'm sure there's drink available.
^^ Haha...Wise man. I have taken, for some reason Sandy, to a glass of Fino Sherry(Very, very dry) and a Jalapeno stuffed olive or two. "She who must be obeyed" went to the little specialist wine store locally and asked for a bottle of sherry....the sort that makes you do this...and grimaced and shuddered. The two guys behind the counter apparently roared with laughter and produced a very nice example. True.
Nobody is buying clothes. You don't buy new clothes to stop at home seeing nobody except your other half and kids
