I think you mean mb not k. You don't need to reduce the size - upload the files to a site such as wetransfer - the recipient then gets a link to download the file.

All done Tuvok, many thanks.
winzip or winrar or 7zip the files compresson program, put all your photo's in a folder and compress it with one of the above programs.
tell the receiver to use above programs to decompress the folder.
7zip is free https://www.7-zip.org/download.html
^^^ As jpeg files are already compressed, using software such as 7-Zip won't help in situations like this one.

As Tuvok suggests, using a file transfer service is one way of getting around the problem. Another is to use Irfanview to open the image file and then go to Image > Resize/Resample:

Thanks to all for your replies.
Buenchico, there seems to be two 64bit download options in your link - Version 4.54, Self extracting EXE file 3.44 MB and Version 4.54, ZIP file, 2.98 MB, would you like to recommend one or t 'other? Thanks again, always pleased to hear your thoughts.
^^^ Use the .exe file.

Irfanview is a superb image viewing program (about a zillion squared times better than what comes with Windows), which I recommend everyone should have on their computers. However, if you 'look under the hood', it's got loads of editing functions built into it too.
