Can anyone explain why "like mad" is the solution to

"According to Spooner, Everyman's dressed hurriedly (4,3)"

I get the 'hurriedly' but what is the Spoonerism in this case?

I dislike Spoonerisms! I think this is supposed to lead to Mike Lad (swapping the first letters of Like Mad), which is supposed to sound like My Clad (my, Everyman's +Clad, dressed).
