Fever?

Sorry to ask another coronavirus related question. My flatmate complained of having a hot head last Tuesday. This was followed by days of waves of fever. He had no other symptoms other than heat/fever. He also didn't have a thermometer so his hotness couldn't be gauged. I was looking forward to his day 7 in the hope he would not be contagious any more, but this evening he is worse than ever. Does this sound like the coronavirus- I thought a fever would get worse and then get better. He has no cough or breathing difficulties. He also does suffer from anxiety and has previously believed that he has heart problems which I know are palpitations related to stress and possibly food intolerance. Any thoughts?

are you actually measuring his temp
I think if not it is time to nip down to your local and get a cheap one

I have three which I have distributed amongst my vulnerable- presence of a fever really is a game changer ( n is 37)
I'd try to buy a thermometer tomorrow and then ring the doctor/NHS if the temperature is excessive
if it is normal but he just feels hot then you are in the clear
if not that is it is above 37 I would have thought he has corona

I wish it was that easy! They have sold out everywhere. I bought some from Ebay and hope they will arrive on Wednesday but that's still so far away.
Peter Pedant, please be careful how you are wording your answers. Just because someone has a high temperature that does not mean they have coronavirus (COVID-19).
