My OH keeps on at me to get him a Jonogored apple but all I can find is a Jonogold, is his memory playing up as he says he has eaten Jonogored apples, I am tempted to get him a Jonathan and lie about its name, does anyone know where a Jonogored can be bought?

They exist, as to where to get them?...hmm -

From that ^ site - "...Celtic Orchards apples are only available for a few months each year from SuperQuinn, Super Valu and Centra stores throughout Ireland."

Other suppliers might be out there :-)
tell him you will happily go with him when he wants to buy them.....
If colour is the only difference may as well settle for a Jonogold.
Your other half has probably spent his whole life thinking that the apples were called Jonogored.
You have to admit that Jonogored and Jonoglod are not disimilar !
Think you should let him off.
Readily available and grown in the UK you will find a 'Pink Lady' .. get him some of those and he wont know the difference ..
Jonogored exists, link above.
Sorry .. my guess is anyone who knows little about apples will be very confused after reading the link .. 8-)
//Mid Kent Growers also grow several other varieties in smaller quantities that often act as cross pollinators in their larger orchards and help to ensure excellent quality fruit, or are new varieties or in some cases are grown for juice. These varieties are: Beni Shogun, Crispin, Early Windsor, Estival, Falstaff, Golden Delicious, Grenadier, Howgate, Jonagold, Jonogored, Pride of Kent, Red Delicious and Worcester.//

Many thanks to you all, looks like the only way is to move to Kent, and i'm not doing that.
Have you tried the RHS website they are usually pretty good at supplier information.
