All these public appeals from Supermarkets, Shops, Local Authorities, Government, etc.,for voluntary altruism are just preaching to the converted.

The Product Plunderers will just carry on, they're just those sort of selfish pigs and no amount of "appeal" will make any difference.

Some form of compulsion is necessary in spite of the "nanny state" accusations which will inevitably follow.

Hopefully, all the stockpilers will soon have finished their stockpiling, the shops will restock the shelves and the rest of us can do our shopping as normal. Without the mayhem. Hopefully.

Hopefully Cj, but some of them are doing it to resell on the black market (e.g. eBay) so they'll be back. We lived with rationing for over a decade in the last century, why not bring it back.

I do find it funny that (according to BBC and Daily Mail) Brits are stockpiling toilet rolls, the Dutch are queing for canabis and the Americans are stockpiling guns (to keep looters at bay).

You're right of course, those who wish to help and make life easier are doing so already and didn't need any bidding, let's hope they outnumber the selfish ones.

Very upset old folk in the shops today, mostly needing loo rolls, Superdrug had paracetamol and some handwash, and a couple of hardware type shops had loads of sanitiser, but a little handbag sized one was £3.99, about four times more than usual.

On my local Next Door Neighbour site, one man says a friend of his has got 201 toilet rolls.

I hope they are not all for himself, my local shop had none.
