Asking this for someone else, nothing to do with my previous cruise question.

Suspect it depends on circumstances again. What was in the contract ?

As OG says, it will depend on the terms and conditions. If you cancel before the final payment is due, you usually lose the deposit.

Would my son lose his deposit and still have to pay a cancellation fee? Sorry not read the terms and conditions.
