But April 1st is another 21 days!
They are duty bound to refund if they cancel.

Glad it's sorted.

You are right Mamy,
I was just 2 days away from cancelling,
I would have lost my money.
Close thing, aye.
An interesting fact: EU law currently obliges airlines to refund (or offer an alternative) any flight to/from a UK airport. Post-Brexit this will still apply to any flight between the UK and the EU, in either direction, but no longer within the UK - because the former will start or end at an EU airport.
Are you saying normal contact/consumer law won't apply post Brexit, Karl?
they did that for me when we were supposed to be flying to Berlin when the Icelandic ash cloud hit. No trouble at all getting a refund.
EU law as such will not be enforceable (by the EU, within/toward UK cases) after Brexit except inasmuch as the case in question extends to within the EU, the law on roaming being another example (EU based numbers will come under it, not UK based numbers). The UK will possibly pick individual aspects and decide to maintain/mirror some/all aspects of EU law but it is yet to be revealed to what extent this will happen - where it does not there will not be an equivalence.
To clarify re roaming: A UK number will only have free roaming within the UK if an agreement is reached with the EU or EU companies individually that it will continue. Similarly, an EU number will not have free roaming in the UK.
I messed that one up for ...."within the UK if an agreement is reached with the EU or EU companies...." read ....within the UK and then additionally only in the EU if an agreement is reached with the EU or EU companies....."
