Has anyone used these anti smoking tablets? I'm due to start a course tomorrow but read the possible side effects and they're horrifying. Has anyone used them and had any ill- effects?

Suggest you just go "cold turkey". Think substitutes just prolong the agony.

I know of 2 people who used them, and they absolutely swear by them. Both were heavy smokers and haven't smoked since. But as always, check with the doc before use!

They don't prolong the agony.
When I stopped after 50/60 a day (!!!) I just went cold turkey. I bought a bag of mints and they really helped. I'm of the opinion that these things which are sold to help you stop only really prolong the agony. They only help the bank balances of the companies which market them.
Agree hellywelly, I smoked quite heavily for 43 years and went cold turkey. Not easy, but felt it was the only way to go. I know folk who are just as addicted to their vapes as they were to cigarettes. Don't get me started about methodone!
Same here HW, I was smoking 30/35 a day , stopped in March 1997 and paid cash for a holiday to Majorca in the July, I could not imagine smoking or paying £10 to do it , good luck
