Ok I Know this is an old article but it’s made more current after the controversy surrounding the woman in the blonde wig who assailed the panel at last Thursday’s QT.
I have no particular view on this other than to say it adds an interesting slant to the complaints so often voiced here about QT audiences being a bunch of lefties.

They have a leftest platform and use it. Surprised?
This sort of thing notoriously lends itself to confirmation bias - people tend to see what they start out looking for. On television when people see or hear things that they don't agree with emotions are triggered that make the negatively experienced event more memorable in peoples minds and they will subsequently dismiss statistics or opposing facts as lies because it doesn't fit in with the experience they remember.
Assail is an emotive word; she simply spoke forcefully about her feelings. One swallow doesn't make a summer.
Lol.
If you're on the far right, all you see is lefties everywhere. If you're on the far left, everyone is to your right.

Both equally stupid points of view in my opinion.

Yes I agree.

Finally an answer I understand.
(“One swallow doesn’t make a summer” - what’s that all about?)
OK, so QT has totally unbiased audiences?

Right-ho.

Still once the licence fee is abolished we shall see how popular this drivel is wont we.

Why would QT have unbiased audiences?
Partisan audiences are all part of the fun and in fact the last time I went to an Any Questions the woman at the start was positively encouraging audience participation!
