Michael Leary has been accused of encouraging racism.

But he's right, isn't he?

When it comes to safety, what's wrong with profiling?

Naomi, you're just embarrassing yourself.

> if you think Islamic terrorists come from any source other than Islam

I don't. I never said that or anything like it ... just another straw man from you.

> exactly, as I said, why Muslim grooming gangs were ignored for so long

Here's the difference, as you clearly can't see it: there aren't thousands of victims of failed airport security waiting to come to light. The world tends to notice when a plane has been bombed.
I've no reason to be embarrassed, Ellipsis, but I wouldn't be surprised if you are - and for good reason. Why anyone would object to more stringent security measures at airports is beyond me - but you do.
//One day this country will wake up to the growing threat in our midst.//

Yes. And hopefull they'll see that all religion has a radical division and the only way to contain it is to make the country a religion free zone.
> Why anyone would object to more stringent security measures at airports is beyond me - but you do

Again, where did I say that? Another straw man.

Please stop speaking for me, and speak for yourself.
Ellipsis, You disagree - you don't disagree - and around you go again. Who knows what you're talking about? You carry on. You might find someone to indulge your confusion.
I would have to agree with Elipsis that Mr O'Leary's observations send far more of a message about publicity, than actually being helpful about a difficult clandestine situation.
// That said, Islam isn’t a ‘race’, it isn’t about colour. ethnicity, or nationality so the search among Muslim communities cannot be regarded as ‘racist’…. simply sensible.//

So, when Muslims start shaving, cutting their hair and wearing business suits in order to fly into the country incognito, what do you propose then? Let's be completely honest, in the internet age, they even need to fly over here? They just brainwash young people from where they are and let them do the deeds. I honestly can't see that profiling at airports will make much difference when there are so many alternatives.
> Ellipsis, You disagree - you don't disagree

Speaking for me again, even though I asked you nicely not to ...

Try this ... O'Leary said:

> If you are travelling with a family of kids, on you go; the chances you are going to blow them all up is zero

Was he correct to say that?
