Not really, hope they touch on it again.
I missed the last 10 mins - what happened?
Resume of Ep 1 here but it doesn't explain the very last few moments.

Hmmmmm, I’ll have to watch the end and see if anything drops into place. I do love the programme tho.
i would imagine it will be the foundation for a story arc
It will be an ongoing story. Probably linked to the feminism story. I also suspect Morse’s friend Ludo and the woman in green is too.
i'm not sure what the final scene meant but i'll be avoiding that canal towpath in the future ...

I also took it as the beginning of a running story line, or maybe the intro to the next case. If it isn't, then it's mighty odd.
I took it that this sex pest got his just deserts at the end.

The whole thing of his wallet being pinched, being hit by a bike and being befriended by 'Ludo' looked to be some sort of set up, time will tell. Remembering Morse's track record with women she'll, the woman in the green frock, either get murdered or be a bad'un.
^ well we know he won't be marrying her
i wouldn't be surprised if the weird new friend of morse didn't do the deadly deed at the end with a stick sword ...

yep, id advise you to do your flashing elsewhere!
An interesting snippet of information from IMDB:

This is the first episode of "Endeavour" to feature (albeit briefly) a real-life person depicted by a member of the cast. When Dorothea Frazil, played by Abigail Thaw as always, attends the Women's Liberation Movement conference, she is introduced to and shakes hands with the organizer Sally Alexander, who is referred to by name. Ms. Alexander is seen only for a brief medium close-up and has no dialogue. Just as the real Sally Alexander was Abigail Thaw's mother, she is played (uncredited) by Abigail Thaw's daughter, Mollie-Mae.

That means that Mollie-Mae was playing her own real-life grandmother.
It's gone OTT and downhill at the same time, imho.
