Couple of threads going tonight re: Caroline Flack's suicide.
Not owning a TV I dont really know who she is (had to google) but having attempted suicide myself and having friends whom I have buried after suicide I get really *** of at people (not necessarily on here) who seem to be the authority on it. The ''Suicide is selfish'' brigade.
For someone to overcome their natural survival instinct speaks lots about the pain that they must be in to begin with.
I knew someone last year who overdosed on morphene after jumping of a bridge (hence the morphene).
Cant imagine what pain...psychological/physical...he must have been in.

So easy to judge...

I've suffered from depression and anxiety since my late teens.

There but for the grace of God, as the phrase goes.
When my son was about 17, one of his friends committed suicide and he was a twin. It was totally out of the blue. You would have thought that the one person you could confide in would be your twin, but apparently not. How desperately lonely it must be! Always very, very sad.
Quite a few people who work in mental health commit suicide.

I don't know if their own mental health attracted them to the profession or the profession affected their mental health.
Possibly both. It doesn’t have to be one.
One of my co-workers took his life about 6 years ago. He was the jolly one, but sensitive and wrote poetry. But, at some point he started to change...became irritable and less patient. Took a leave of absence, closed himself off to potential help...never returned. He left behind a teenage son.
Others in the same job also got to the point where it was too much.
The only time that I thought that someone committing suicide was selfish was this one https://closeronline.co.uk/real-life/news/suicidal-jilted-lover-jumps-front-train-driven-ex-girlfriend/

I don't think that they were able to prove that he knew that his ex was the driver. But if he did it was an evil act.
