WHEN will this sort of idiocy be made an offence in the statute book? Endangering the lives of search and rescue personnel through lunacy!

Moron.

pretty well everyone rescued by the RNLI has done something wrong, that's why they need rescuing.
He was just board.
Have you noticed that most of the recipients for a Darwin Award are not female.
:-)
They were surfing here in N.Wales as well. Most surfers are the sort of person who would risk their own lives to help someone in trouble. It is the sort of attitude that makes us human. Instead of moaning why not salute the intrepid devil may care bravery and spirit of all concerned?
CD, calling him a moron is an insult to morons :-)

The RNLI should have left him alone.

But there’s a subtle difference between getting into difficulties in a dinghy on a summers day, as opposed to actively entering the teeth of a raging storm by choice, no?
As If it wasn’t stupid enough he started out at Bondi beach.
Possibly because it's that same 'devil may care bravery' that has bystanders in tears as the dog clambers out of the torrent and the owner trying to save it goes under for the third time.

Really no need for it in such extremes.
Bet if it had been an illegal immigrant being "rescued" by the RNLI the hand wringers would be silent. Funny Old World.

LOL Retro.
What a blithering idiot. I wonder if he'd have still gone out if if there was no RNLI.
//Nah, that happened 2 days before//

Ahhh. I hadn't realised that you had posted calling them idiots for endangering our search and rescue teams.
