There is a grassy slope at the side of my house which I have had access over for many years. Does anyone know what the law is regarding aquired rights of access over land which doesn't belong to you?

This can be a very tricky area, so beware of stirring things up if you have enjoyed access thus far with no opposition. The first thing is to enquire about ownership and rights to the land - the Land Registry will help, and see how this affects you, but beware of advising an unaware landowner that you are in fact trespassing, or you could lose your access.

Thanks Andy but I know who owns the land. New neighbours are not allowing me access over the land.
