Thanks jj109. He certainly fits although he won more than four top divsion titles.
Fernando Torres
Jimmy Case
Brighton and Hove Albion Fa Cup Runners Up and all the rest Liverpool
only 4 First Division wins

saintpeter48 the last European Cup (as opposed to Champions League) was played in 1991, Fernando Torres would have been 7 years old at that time,

English clubs that won the European cup and First division titles were Liverpool, Forest, Aston Villa, and Man Utd. Of those only Liverpool won 4 first division titles around the time of the European Cup wins. Therefore you can really just look at the players listed in the Liverpool team for the Supercup. As most played only for Liverpool, not as many short term transfers as today, it is just a question of finding one who was a runner up in the FA Cup with another team. Jimmy Case fits the bill.
Normally, when you see questions like this, it turns out to be Roy of the Rovers!
^ or Jimmy Rimmer.
It does not necessarily have to be an English club that won the European honours. A player could have won the titles in England then moved on and won the other trophies.(with other National league and cups that are not highlighted in the question) I have not checked out Ronaldo's stats for instance........but I was thinking of someone like him perhaps.?
Zola?
I think, FWIW, that the Champions League, which is a daft name anyway, is also informally known still as the European Cup
