the case of Jeremy Bamber, 6 part drama, scheduled to start tonight on ITV.
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-essex-51024716

at this time there is a legal matter pending, judicial review proceedings which have been issued against the Director of Public Prosecutions relating to issues of non disclosure.

shouldn't ITV postpone until the legal matter is resolved?

He will continue to appeal. He has already lost two appeals. I think it should be shown now because he will find more and more reasons to appeal on technical issues, and then it will never be shown.
I hope not, I'm looking forward to this ..
I dont think it is necessary. A Judge will be deciding this case and they are incredibly good at just looking at the evidence before them rather than taking into account extraneous matters.
Why would the solicitors think a drama might influence a judge?
No idea, TCl. This is what they say though:-

"we are concerned that such a drama series by its nature will place a fictitious narrative in the public domain which may be counter productive to the administration of justice in due course"
we know that because they say they are....
sorry Barmaid my daily dose of bile there
I see them more often in their sleepy out-of-it phase - because I look like a blind old age pensioner rather than an equity QC. Mars jones description of his dad I thought quite accurate generically

we re getting to Christine keeler the inquiry (BBC1)
and tho at the time I discounted it
I now allow possible that Denning was chosen as he was easily side tracked by thing sexual - and that was what the govt wanted rather than a judge concentrating on the Russian huggy-bear angle(*)

only govt report to sell out by midday on the first day

(*) "I grabbed him and he was my huggy bear" one C Keeler telling it like it was again 50 y later
He would appeal if the judges wig wasnt on straight, a thoroughly odious man / boy who overestimated his own intelligence by about 90%. I had the misfortune to work with him several times.
I remember it happening and it's such a horrific story I've no desire to watch it re-encted on TV. Its one of those cases, like Madeleine McCann, Genette Tate and lost bodies of the moors victims that I'd love to be a God and know the truth.
I assume his lawyers are being funded by me, and the rest of us, so he can go on appealing indefinitely.
My partner reckons I drink too much Gin.
This came as a bit of a shock.
I didn’t even realise I had a partner.
^^^^^^
Whoops! Wrong section! :-)
