I have been using and old ipod which I don't have locked or use a password for (stupid I know) - I am usually very careful but had it with me in local Apple store as I was making enquiries about a new Ipad and have accidentally left it wide open in their store. All my emails will be available for anyone to read and they will also be able to send endless messages ..... If, when I am able to contact the store in the morning and the ipod is not there (which will mean it has been stolen) does anyone know if the Apple store would be able to close down my ipod ? (I cannot find a note of my serial no or any details of my ipod) Since I am about to purchase a new Ipad I don't mind not being able to use the old Ipod is this is the route I have to take - I definitely do not want to change my email address - it has been suggested that I change my password with my email provider which would mean no further emails will reach my ipod......HELP PLEASE .......

Can't remember if Find My Iphone option was available on OS3. Do you have any other Apple devices?

If so try Find My Iphone - log in with the Apple ID that you use on your Ipod and then you can remotely lock it.
