.... but she doesn't have a lot to say..
Have you seen her driving her Range Rover with aplomb (but looking a little cross) at 93, isn't she fantastic?

I think Camilla has been a great wife to Charles and they seem a really happy couple, often laughing hilariously with each other. She is a well thought of patron of 90 charities. She would be welcome at my dinner table anytime.
Nahhh, The Trumpster is a one off davebro :0)
I must admit she’s grown on me over the years too LB

ken // No-one has mentioned doing away with the Monarchy.//

True, not on here, - but the Labour Party has a leader hopeful (ha-ha) Lewis, scion of an immigrant from Granada, who says if elected to the post he wants a referendum!! on the abolishion of the British monarchy.
So he's a Republican, Khandro. There are many more like him. Fortunately not enough to effect what happens to the Monarchy.
A referendum on the monarchy? Have we learned nothing about referenda and their ability to solve anything?
I think we need a referendum to ban referenda, the Germans have the right idea, they're not allowed.

Like his leader he shoots from the lip and hits his foot.
He soon errr modernised that statement saying, of course he didn’t mean to say abolish the monarchy but have a referendum on trimming it down. Well that’s what is happening by all appearances and Mr Lewis can get back in his box.
The Queen reigns, she does not govern, leaving that to her ministers. We are therefore a de facto, if
not a de jure, republic. What's to change?
The Queen has the very last word on any act of parliament - Royal Assent. That could be used to stop an extreme law to be passed. Didn't Putin make himself president for life? Couldn't happen here with the current system.
" Didn't Putin make himself president for life? Couldn't happen here with the current system."

Whaddya mean - couldn't happen here? The Queen reigns "for life" without even having to declare it. And so will future monarchs - whether or not they are fit to do so!
But only with a veto, not the right to make laws.
For an interesting take on this, I recommend Mike Bartlett's 2014 play "King Charles III". It is a thought-provoking examination of the power of the reigning monarch, and the internal affairs of the Royal Family.

As an aside, ironically now, in the play Harry wants to become a commoner with his Republican girlfriend Jess, but in the end dumps her to support The Firm.

I think you may be on to something there; - life imitating art, perhaps?
