I had my samsung galaxy A10 phone paired to my 2015 Ford fiesta using Ford Sync. It's been ok up to a few days ago, but now will no longer connect. When I try to reconnect the phone message is check device settings. Bluetooth is on in car and on phone. The only change I can think of is the phone software updated itself three nights ago. I've tried deleting the phone and adding it again, but it's not working! Any advice please?

If you're tried deleting the pairing, and re-pairing them again, I'm unsure what else to suggest. Maybe ask your Ford dealer ?

Yes I could do, but was hoping to get it done today without going out again. I wondered if the phone software update had altered something.
Mine did the same, I went to Ford, they disconnected the car battery for 15 mins then reconnected it. Then set up the phone again. They recommended you turn off your phone now and again to prevent it happening again. Must get some kind of bug in the system! However it worked and been ok for a year! Good luck.

Thanks Dagman, I'll try doing that.

Unfortunately neither of these solutions have worked.
When the phone goes to Sync, and the car gives you a code to match, and the phone code matches too, I press pair, then am getting - couldn't pair, check settings for this device. Anyone know what to so please? I've been into Tesco mobile, as I'm sure this is something to do with the last software update, as it was working fine before. Tesco told me to clear memory, then turn phone off and on again when in car.
Nothing to do with your query...but do you like your A10? I'm seriously thinking of getting one to replace my J5 that's run out of storage.
Delete car from phone
Disable Bluetooth
Delete phone from car
Switch off ignition in car and wait until it's in sleep mode, no radio etc.
Switch phone off completely
Have a hot drinks (cake optional) for an hour
Fire up car
Turn phone on
Search for devices
Pair
Use.
