It's alright charging her, but will she be brought before a court.I doubt it.
Question Author
At one point it didn't look like she'd even be charged, so let's wait and see.
will she be brought back here?
Not if she refuses to come.I can't see Trump allowing her to be extradited.
Ennie, I think that would depend up whether there is a reciprocal extradition agreement between the US and the UK, and also what types of crimes are covered.
If she isn't extradited then the UK must never allow any British citizen to be extradited to the US for whatever the charge. Surely killing someone and fleeing the jurisdiction trumps a kid in his bedroom making a monkey of the US security systems on his computer,
I'm afraid the best that can be hoped for is fake contrition plus thoughts and prayers.

It's the American way.

Can we issue a European Arrest Warrant limiting her ability to travel to and through Europe?

I doubt we would if they had 'diplomatic immunity'.

Really nt sure if it is good news for the parent or not. Difficut to see how they will get closure
I read this earlier // The United States has not denied a single extradition request from the UK under the treaty; the UK has denied 10 requests from the U.S. since the treaty took effect. \\
Don't know about you but I'm really surprised at this but wouldn't have been were it the other way around.

Not for much longer...
If this woman had remained in the UK what would she probably have been charged with, and what would have been the possible sentences?
Agree with zebo.
I agree with zebo too.

death by dangerous driving surely. She was on the wrong side of the road when she crashed into the boy.
This is big news in my town of Northampton.

It's really frustrating for so many people. What would be her sentence anyway? They aren't going to give her a prison sentence. Make her compensate the family and keep the cowardly woman in the news.
Oh...Make her come back here and appear in court as well.
If she was really contrite she would face up to what she has done. No sympathy for the young lads' parents at all as far as I can see and Trump backs her. Easy to see exactly what sort of person he is.
Anne Sacoolas is claiming as it was an accident, she should not be charged. So all those locked up in prison claiming their crime was an accident, should be freed??!!!!
