With the UK heading towards being a Muslim country by 2050 (probably before). Which of these alternatives would you prefer to live under?
The choice though, as things stand, appears to be hypothetical, I'm afraid.

Khandro, if you had bothered to read the posts... the most atheist societies are the ones doing the best. Why ask, if you only accept your own answer?
Khandro, practically every major charity is secular. They do far more than any religious society. And you say atheist societies have been tried and don’t work but I think that’s rather disingenuous because you’re referring to societies in which politics are predominant, eg communist regimes.

You present Sweden as an example of a country "doing the best" - for whom? Amnesty International would not agree. I personally know among friends, one woman who after living there for over 20 years has felt she had to leave, fearing for the safety of herself & her two daughters.

naomi; If it's an atheist society you hanker after, don't forget to vote for Messrs McDonnell & Corbyn
Khandro, is that the best you can do? You want a discussion but only if everyone agrees with what you're saying. You are referring to communist societies. I've proposed the possibility of a free, democratic, and atheistic society.... but that, you appear to be unable to contemplate.
To be fair, N, your last post stated that atheist societies were communist regimes.
No, Zacs, it didn't. I said, " you’re [Khandro] referring to societies in which politics are predominant, eg communist regimes.
Ah, soz.
Khandro 16.15 - I would agree with that. It is culture which holds the Western world together - it happens to have a Christian basis - and the vast majority think and act within that context.

Oh, I've no trouble contemplating it, the first two conditions I approve of, it's the last one is the problem.
How do you propose to enact it? When you & Jeremy take control, will I be sent to the Gulag?
Khandro, don’t be disgusting. If you don’t possess the grace to conduct a civil conversation I can only suggest you treat yourself to an extensive course in good manners.
