is there a table you want us to look at?
as far as I can tell we (and US) are 15th in the world, 9.2 out of 10 compared to 9.5 out of 10 for the top nation. Looks pretty good to me.
Ahead of France for example.

Anyone can browse the individual countries' summaries and choose items of interest, build fact folders, form comparisons, etc. as they see fit. Several different points of access to the report can be found online, perhaps the most comprehensive version being this:

A different presentation/short-cut is here:

what point are you making? Is this a thinly disguised anti British post? I can't see it myself.
Question Author
Personally, with a supposed comparison of human development I have some difficulty accepting that the USA is as highly ranked as 15th because of the abject inequalities there between obscene wealth and privilege against crushing poverty, lack of opportunity and ignorance. Presumably this is the outcome through weighting of some sort (I have not bothered to analyse it). Nevertheless, as elsewhere the top is occupied by a selection of familiar countries.

Point ? Help yourself to a pot of information, no need to be so suspicious/defensive.......or, come to think of it, maybe there actually is.
