Yes.......quite common in fact.
My wife says: with a woman of very slim build, yes, it is possible.
Her mother and her sister all had the same symptoms (or, lack of them) as you describe, and they were both very slim.

Ok thanks don’t think I could be described as slim though
As above, everything just simply stopped for me, no lead up or adverse reactions.

Perhaps I’ve got lucky then
yes! it sounds like it, make the most!
Just think of the money you will save from not having to buy co..oms :-)
Very rare I would imagine but not impossible

Its quite common and perfctly normal to sail through the menopause. I am lucky enough to have done so as did my mother, and we're totally different to each other in build.

Its still possible to experience a few minor symptoms like low moods and hot flushes even a year in, but no need to assume you will.

Could be your huge weight loss has caused a gap too. Ask your go for a blood test.
I sailed through it! Periods stopped and I mean just stopped. A few hot flushes but nothing I couldn't cope with and that was it and I was by no means slim at the time!
Many people do sail through it - you are all so lucky! I hit a brick wall and spent months shivering and sweating in bed, soaking sheets etc.. Practically non compos-mentis. That was 20 years ago ----- I'm STILL getting weeks when my thermostat doesn't work and I burst into tears for no reason. I don't think my GP believes me - she ordered blood tests, but I've never heard anything, then a bone density scan - which proved that I have good bone density, amazingly good for my age. Just be glad, Rockrose. :) x

Thanks for all your comments x
Yep...No real symptoms for me either. My periods just stopped.

Did you have any issues with your periods previously? I didn't, no mood swings, no pain etc etc...

Very irregular but only had 2 months gaps at my biggest since the weightloss very regular
jourdain me too and its 25 years now. I am not moody but still get the flushes, the sweats, the dizziness, joint ache and so on....they are old friends now....like you my general health and bone density is good. I guess folk like us are lucky and get someone else's share as well.
^^^ Woof - I'll try to remember that. :)
That sounds quite bad, Wolf.
Yes, it’s possible, RR. And lucky you to not have any symptoms. Night sweats are horrible.

I think it’s great that we can talk about this now. My mum’s and gran’s generations would keep it all quiet and only whisper about ‘the change’.
