I have now decided of Egypt next August. Does any one know the cheapest place for a family holiday in Egypt our budget is £4.000 for a family of 4 in August.

Sharm El Sheikh is probably the best place for a family holiday. It's specifically designed for tourism - the old, original town a few miles away. Hotels to suit all budgets, lots of restaurants, decent beach, and fabulous for divers and snorkelers. (Wear shoes to go into the water. The dead coral seabed is very sharp).

The average temperature in August is 105°F !!

Agree Sharm El Sheikh is good. A ban on flying there which has been in place since 2015, was lifted in October, so direct tourism should start to become feasible again.
