My daughter has been getting pain in left hand side of her back. When she said it was stinging when she peed, I got her to take urine sample to Doctors. She had phone call to say there was no blood in it but something was showing up and doctor would see he this evening. Saw Dr, and put it down to virus, but said if no better by Friday, to come back.
Sqad, if you're around, I'm wondering what else might have showed up in water sample to need to see doctor?

While you're waiting for Sqad, this might help:

I'm sure Sqad will see this but if any infection is caused by a particular bacteria and no improvement has shown they may want to do a more detailed urine analysis.

They look for much more than just blood.
First of all.....no big deal.......this certainly sounds like cystitis viral or bacterial.

As for what might also have shown up.....could be pus cells, protein or even maybe, sugar.

This is not a big deal and nothing sinister would show up in a urine sample.
Does Sqad ever sleep?

;-)
Buenchico( or may I call you Chris?).....;-)

I am getting quite close to the "big sleep"now, so lack of sleep is not a concern for me.
Stick to power naps, we need you around.
mamy....I don't think that you do..........but thanks anyway.

Thank you Sqad, and everyone who replied.
My daughter happened to mention her partner has just got over shingles, and she piped up and said, just what she was wondering. Funny thing, my daughter asked me if she had a rash or spots on side of he back,*same side) couple of days ago. I couldn't see anything. Watch this space! :-(
Good shout Patsy....but if your daughter has had chickenpox, then she cannot catch it from her partner.

Shingles presenting with cystitis.......a good shout.......unusual.......uncommon..........but a good shout......although I think it unlikely.
Yes, we do need you Sqad x
Question Author
Yes, she has had chickenpox. Anyway, I'll let you know! :-)
Then she can't catch shingles from her partner.
Question Author
NO, that's what doctor told her. Could be a coincidence though...
* the big sleep* ? Stop it please .
Question Author
By the way, really appreciate you, Sqad! x
