Should the male feel disgraceful/stupid for being a part of such a fandom that has a really bad negative stigma with them because of their antics (like cutting themselves when a member leaves, screaming manically, being into these guys ONLY because of their looks/lust)?

Not to mention, the face that a boy band fandom consists of only females (with possible gay men in there), do that male who is straight will be a minority/outcast in that fandom.

What do you guys think about the male being a part of a fandom like this

Eddie51 - I’m not making a point!

I’m simply asking your opinion on fans of boy bands in general (who at times can pull of antics as the ones described in the 1st paragraph of my description).

As well as asking what do you think of a male being a part of those types of fans.
If someone is driven to self harm by this fan worship then they were already on the edge and need help.

I have been a fan and known many fans.

Your problem with the greatest respect is that you don't like our opinions.
mm305....it would appear that your question has been answered numerous times and that you are the only one with a problem with men liking certain bands.....I am more concerned with whatever made you feel this way as it seems the rest of us think that what gives a person joy and doesn't hurt anyone or frighten the horses is fine. I would suggest you question yourself as to why you can't accept people as they are. It is also concerning that you only worry about men liking certain bands and have not given a thought to women who like heavy metal for example.

I’m NOT shaming anyone or telling them they shouldn’t be themselves. (And The reason I didn’t bring up women is because they have more leeway to get away with it than males because of the whole “masculinity” thing.

And how is my questioned answer other than what you gave earlier? My question is about your opinions on a fandom and a male being a part of it, I haven’t read an answer of “we’ll personally, I find this fandom to be... and I think males who are part of this fandom are...”

Folks making this about me when you keep saying “like who you like” or “why does it matter what other people think” cause it’s not about me here. I ask because I’m curios! That’s why this is just a curious question on what do you think about this fandom and any male who is part of it.

But thank you MallyJ for being the only one to giving me the type of answer I wanted.

MM - // I haven’t read an answer of “we’ll personally, I find this fandom to be... and I think males who are part of this fandom are...” //

Clearly you missed mine then -

// My opinion, since you repeatedly ask for 'our' opinions, I can obviously only give you mine, is that fans are not decided by gender, either theirs or their fans - you like who you like, and that's fine. //

The simple fact is, your question has been answered numerous times by numerous people, and you still keep banging on because clearly you have an answer that you want to read, and it hasn't been posted yet.

People can and will run out of patience with your ludicrous obsession with something that really doesn't matter at all.

You don't want our opinions, you want reassurance that your 'fandom' is OK - it is, your endless insecurity about it, is not.

You have your answers, why not leave it there.
